About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated couple to manage the Dumbara Burru Caravan Park, ensuring its smooth operation and the maintenance of high standards to provide exceptional customer service to our guests. The role involves residing on the property and overseeing the park, its facilities, and equipment to uphold quality, with the aim of maximizing profits and achieving high customer satisfaction during the tourist season from 01 April to 30 September.
The successful couple will have experience managing a busy caravan park, be computer-literate and able to use Word, Excel, Outlook and a computerized reservation software (preferably Newbook).
The role will require the successful couple to undertake ALL activities to run the park, including reception and bookings, reporting to owners, amenities and onsite accommodation cleaning, ground and cabins maintenance and improvement work.
There is a generous salary with a 1 bedroom furnished residence on site including power for the successful couple.
Key Duties and Responsiblities
Build and maintain positive relationships with guests, community members and other stakeholders through welcoming and friendly customer service
Take reservations for park accommodations, which may involve online, phone or face-to-face bookings using Newbook software
Ensure guests are directed to and parked in their allocated sites
Collect all payments due from guests and issue receipts as required
Inspect, clean and restock accommodation units after each final check-out, including performing laundry duties for unit manchester
Clean and maintain park washing machines, ablution blocks and public toilets on a daily basis
Keep the park clean of rubbish, and put out the bins for rubbish collection each week
Assist the Commercial Manager in ensuring that signage and lighting around the park is kept compliant with Shire policies and relevant legislations, and that the information is up-to-date.
Perform regular stocktake on units, cleaning room and camp kitchen, and order supplies, as necessary following approval.
Ensure that park guests comply with Dumbara Burru Caravan Park rules and overarching camping regulations and health by-laws
Care for and maintain all gardens, lawns and surrounds within the park area and liaise with and seek approval from the Commercial Manager where assistance and/or items to be purchased are required for such maintenance.
Ensure all safety and security processes are followed daily.
Report infrastructure damage to the Asset Officer
Work afterhours in case of emergencies, as approved by the Chief Executive Officer
Requirements
The successful applicants shall have a pleasant personality, be trustworthy and honest with sound cash handling and record keeping skills. Be reasonably fit and able to carry out all physical aspects of the job.
Applicants are to demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate, both orally and written and display excellent public relations skills.
The successful applicant will be required to provide or obtain a Working with Children Card and a National Police Check. The appointments to the position will not be confirmed until these requirements have been completed and assessed as satisfactory.

You have proven experience working in accommodation preferably holiday/caravan parks.

An exciting 6 month opportunity exists for 2 self-motivated people to operate Dumbara Burru Caravan Park in Derby, owned by Frilled Enterprises, subsidiary of Winun Ngari Aboriginal Corporation, during our busy season 1 April 2024 until 30 September 2024.
Dumbara Burru Caravan Park provides a relaxing, tranquil park with a distinctive Kimberley feel. The Park features 52 sites set amongst large shady trees, which are accessible to the centrally located BBQ area, office, and ablution facilities. The park is also small dog friendly.
